The stationary pitot tube collects liquid from the rotating case and converts its velocity into pressure. Erosion at the inlet tip reduces the pressure the pump develops, so it is the part most often replaced.
Standard EHIK pick-up tubes are made from 17-4PH stainless steel. For a replacement part, material and dimensions are confirmed against the original part and the service conditions.
The rotor assembly is the rotating case that carries the liquid round at high speed. Corrosion, erosion or damaged fits show up as vibration, noise or reduced discharge pressure.
Rotors are dynamically balanced on a balancing machine, and the fits and interfaces are matched to the assembly they replace.
